Bulging Belly
If you think you're a halfway decent restaurant critic and you live in SF or Chi-town, look no further than local cable. This new show will allow any Joe Schmo food lover to go on air and debate the merits of a restaurant with complete strangers. Great concept that will give the public a different, more relatable take on the sometimes overwhelming/snooty world of dining out.

Thirteen percent of the female students at Timken Senior High School in Ohio are pregnant. Yes, that's 64 prego students (and almost half off my graduating class size). Good lord!! What's floating in the water in Canton?!? Stoopid pills?

I'm down in LA this week and weekend for some work and mostly play. Sharp's getting hitched tomorrow afternoon, so we have the whole crew in town. A super fun week so far with the work crew of past and present. Thursday morning felt like waking up after a night of raging at the annual sales conference (worse, actually). Luckily our first meeting wasn't until noon. Speaking of which ... we met with an Auction company that's run by a bunch of Russians. Their CEO looks, talks and dresses like Elisabeth Shue's (Sera) pimp in Leaving Las Vegas. More importantly, his Director of Marketing & PR is a former playmate. Let me spell that out again for those who missed it ... p-l-a-y-m-a-t-e. No way I'm puting her name down here, but ping me if you want her name. An internet image search will quickly show you why this trip has already paid off in spades.
After meeting up with some old friends for tea on Melrose, I ate at this fun tapas joint called Cobras & Matadors last night with Rob and a few of his friends. Cool place in West Hollywood that I'd totally recommend if you're ever down this way. Nice to see people showing up for dinner at 10:45pm on a weeknight. Not a shot in hell you'd see that scene played out up in SF. Grrr.
Spent this morning checking out our new campus in Santa Monica and meeting some of the new team (essentially, all of our entertainment, news and information-related properties are now housed down in SM) that's assembled down here. It's the old MGM complex, where Lutz used to hob nob with the stars. Great space. 10 mins from the beach. True California living. If you know anything about me, you know exactly what I'm thinking. While I've fallen in love with the Bay Area lifestyle, I can never get enough of the SoCal vibe!
